Comprehensive Advisory Services for New Nuclear Plant Development and Deployment
Advice for New Nuclear Plant Development Projects
Guiding Nuclear Projects from Concept to Completion
I provide advisory services for nuclear capital projects across the full lifecycle of a plant, from early project development through EPC execution, operations, decommissioning, and restart. Having worked directly in each of these phases, I bring practical, experience-based insight to help today's nuclear projects avoid the costly mistakes of past new builds and apply the most recent lessons learned. My work focuses on improving decision-making, strengthening project fundamentals, and helping teams navigate the technical, contractual, and financial complexities unique to nuclear development.
Experience Spanning the Entire Nuclear Lifecycle
I have participated firsthand in nuclear project development, EPC contract negotiation and execution, plant operations, decommissioning, and restart initiatives. This end-to-end experience allows me to view projects holistically, identifying risks early, evaluating tradeoffs realistically, and improving cost and schedule confidence before issues become embedded. Personal experience in negotiating billion dollar EPC contracts and risk sharing arrangements that are needed for future SMR and larger GW scale new builds due to practical limitations on what the combined group of contractors can place at risk for overrun protection.

Maritime Nuclear Reactor Design and Deployment Support
Five years of sea-going experience in afloat PWR operations and maintenance to support new maritime reactor design and deployment. Oversaw maintenance and testing for twin nuclear plants afloat. Management of primary plant and secondary plant chemistry and radiation controls. Placed a new nuclear support ship into service to provide logistics, radioactive materials disposal and nuclear equipment calibration facilities on a 20,000 ton vessel capable of worldwide deployment.
